Hello my dear friends! It’s been a hot minute hasn’t it? The last time I posted, in the “before times,” Brian and I just returned from our Portuguese Camino. Little did we know that would be our last chance to travel for a solid 3 years. I don’t have to say that COVID was hard on everyone. But what I will say is, the time I spent at home, with my loved ones, taught me so many life lessons that I’m thrilled to carry with me well beyond the disaster that was COVID.
So on to great things! In the Spring of 2022, Brian and I did spend 3 weeks in Italy. We were invited to a wedding and it was the perfect excuse for some hardcore revenge travel. We loved our time in Italy so much. However, after 21 days, we were also relieved to go home. It seems we need to rebuild our adventure endurance again!
Today, I want to share my next adventure with you! On May 7th, I will be running with thousands of people from around the world in the Wings for Life World Run in Zug, Switzerland. It is a global fundraiser that supports research in finding a cure for spinal cord injury. Several years ago, my friend Denise was in a terrible automobile accident that left her paralyzed from the neck down. I will be running on behalf of Denise and everyone else who cannot run on their own.
Unlike other races, there is no actual finish line. Rather, a car playing classical music will drive slowly behind us. When it finally passes us, wherever we are in our run, that marks the completion of our journey. So, we will run as far and as long as we can until the Catcher Car reaches us. I am not really a runner so I’m hoping to run at least 3 miles before the car catches me. I’m also hoping to raise $1000 or more for the cause! So, if you feel so inclined, please consider donating to this great cause.

In the meantime, enjoy life and Buen Camino!
